COUNTRY Cheeses is enjoying a slice of success after being awarded a top accolade by Trip Advisor. The specialist cheese shop within the Tavistock Pannier Market perimeter is a huge hit with local residents and visitors to the town — success which has helped to give them the coveted Certificate of Excellence. The award celebrates hospitality excellence and is given to establishments that achieve complimentary traveller reviews on TripAdvisor. Country Cheeses, which has been running in the town for 26 years, is now one of the top 10% of businesses listed on the website to receive the award. Gary Junghein, owner of the shop alongside his wife Elise, said he was so grateful to receive the award and thanked all customers who rated the shop so highly on TripAdvisor. He said: 'This was a lovely surprise to drop through the door, this is especially good as it's totally unsolicited. 'We get a huge amount of attention for our shop and we are judged on the fact that we are good at what we do. Over the years we have strived to give the service we would like to receive.' Gary said: 'It's people power which has given us this pat on the back for our hard work, and their appreciation means everything.'
