Wellington School 1 Kelly College 1st XI 0 INITIALLY Kelly lacked drive, organisation and the usual Kelly determination. Kelly missed one good opportunity in front of goal from the counter attack but after a free hit in the defensive area, Wellington scored a goal on the break from recapturing possession cheaply. In the second half Kelly woke up and came out to win the game, showing signs of their usual determined play. Kelly had the majority of play and several short corners were awarded for their efforts. Although Wellington also had some promising goal scoring opportunities Kelly?s defence worked hard to keep them from sealing the game until the end. Kelly?s player of the match was Charlotte Hofmann.
Kelly College 2nd XI 2 Wellington School 0 THIS was a well-matched game with both teams fighting for possession of the ball. Kelly?s Katie Elliott worked hard through the midfield and Beth Newton was extremely useful as sweeper and cleared many strong attacks. Charlotte Hofmann scored the first goal and then Lizzey Tilley scored taking the final score to a victorious 2 ? 0 for Kelly. Chloe Tenant remained strong in defence and made some timely tackles.
