TONY Pearson enjoyed another successful month at Hurdwick Golf Club when he won the annual NSPCC putting competition.

The division one medal winner was Tim Hawkins with a net 69. Peter Brookbank was in second place with 70 and Roger Backaller took third spot, on back nine, with a 71.

In division two, Ray Spear was the winner with 69, followed by Clive Edmunds with 71 and Chris Tear with 72.

The 'Twos' sweep was won outright by Clive Edmunds and the putting competition was won by Tony Pearson with a total of 30 putts.

In the midweek stableford, Peter Brookbank edged Tony Pearson into second place on countback, both finished with 40 points. In third spot was Tim Hawkins with 36 points.
