Braunton U13s 1 Oke Argyle U13s 5 FIGHTING against the wind Okehampton started well and were rewarded with an early goal from Bradley Ausden. Ausden continued to push forward and was unlucky not to score with two excellent strikes hitting the post and the crossbar. Tom Boother for Argyle held strong on the left putting some good balls through. Luke Jefferies was next to score with a lovely shot from an acute angle. Braunton fought back and scored a soft goal to make it 1-2. Okehampton rallied again and saw Bradley score his second with an excellent strike. The second half started with Okehampton going downhill and pushing forwards all the time with some excellent running from Luke Jefferies who was unlucky not to score. Harry Smith scored next when a corner from Bradley found him free and ready to shoot. Okehampton kept up the pressure and Harry put through a good ball to Luke Alden who finished well. This was a good result for Okehampton with a solid performance from the whole team. Man of the match: Tom Boother. Oke ArgyleU10s 2 Torridgeside youth 0 The Okehampton boys played some good football against their table topping opponents and Argyle opened the scoring in the first half with a superb long range shot by Jamie Mallett. Argyle's Rhys Palmer and Ben Barkwill did a solid marking job on the Torridgeside strikers preventing them from causing any threat at all during the game. In the second half Argyle were camped in the Torridgeside half, continuously applying pressure. Okehampton secured their second goal through skilful play by Ben Bickle who dribbled around several defenders before slotting the ball past. Man of the match: The whole team.
