TICKETS are now available for a night of 'Bogflush Blues and Folk' to support a charity initiative supported by Okehampton's mayor and rector. During his year in office, Cllr Paul Vachon has chosen Toilet Twinning as one of his mayoral charities. Teaming up with the Rector of Okehampton Rev Stephen Cook, the duo are collaborating on a project to 'twin' all the public access toilets in Okehampton with new toilets in some of the poorest parts of the world. For every £60 raised by the campaign, a new toilet built somewhere in a poverty stricken area will be installed to offer a hygienic and safe place for someone to use the toilet. The first fundraiser of the project is a folk and blues concert, 'Bogflush', featuring several local musicians in All Saints Church Hall on October 4. Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets costing £5 are available from Donald's Menswear, or on the door. A bar and light refreshments will be available. To find out more about Toilet Twinning, visit toilettwinning.org
