ORANGES and Lemons Toddler Group in Okehampton will be grabbing a slice of the action by taking part in a nationwide Toddle to support Barnardo?s in its centenary year. Throughout June, toddlers will be putting their best foot forward for the Big Toddle for Barnardo?s at events across the UK. The children?s charity wants to raise more than £1-milllion for its vital work with disadvantaged children under five years of age. More than 30 tots from the Okehampton area will be gathering on June 15, to toddle around a half-mile course with their parents, friends and carers. The fun starts at Paignton Zoo at 10am. Andrea Williams, of Oranges and Lemons Toddler Group, said: ?The toddle is about children helping other children. It is fantastic to know that our children can help Barnardo?s just by taking part in the toddle. It is a great day out and lots of fun. I would encourage everyone to get involved.? Last year, more than 2,200 toddler groups across the country took part in the event to support Barnardo?s.
