POLLING day has arrived and voters in West Devon and Torridge will select the candidate they want as their MP.

Standing are Geoffrey Cox (Conservative), Adam Symons (Liberal Democrat), Darren Jones (Labour), Robin Julian (UK Independence Party), Cathrine Simmons (Green), Nick Baker (BNP).

There are 115 polling stations throughout the redrawn constituency. As well as the usual village and church halls, they include the Burrator Inn, Hope Cottage Cafe, Bere Alston and the hairdresser's at Crapstone.

Polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm.

Votes will be counted at Holsworthy Sports Hall tomorrow (Friday) with the result expected mid-afternoon.
