TAVISTOCK Musical Theatre Company has a new president – Margaret Crook — she has stepped into the shoes of Henry Morris, who was president from the mid-1980s until his death this year.

Margaret has been a member of TMTC (formerly Tavistock Operatic Society) for more than 50 years and has appeared in countless shows with the company, as well as directing. Last year, in recognition of her service to the company, she was made a life member.

TMTC will be staging the musical 'Annie' at The Wharf in October. In 1988, the company staged the South West premiere production of Annie, directed by Margaret, who also played one of the principal roles — Miss Hannigan.
