THE Tidy Tavi this week paid tribute to all the Tidy Tavi volunteers who helped to prepare for the visit of the Britain in Bloom judges during the last couple of weeks. This work was done largely on an individual and short notice basis. Together with the sterling efforts of volunteers from other organisations, the venture helped to ensure that the parts of town inspected on the day were just about spotless. The next Tidy Tavi litter picking outing will take place on Saturday, August 2 — all volunteers are extremely welcome! Please meet in the Meadowlands Café at 10am. Tea and coffee will be available before the teams set off to various parts of the town, kindly provided by 1Life. The litter pick will finish around noon. Robust footwear and a good pair of gloves are recommended.
