OKEHAMPTON Chamber of Trade will set to work on illuminating the town for Christmas this Sunday (November 27).

The chamber has had to discard the old strings of lights, which used discontinued light bulbs.

Thanks to substantial assistance from Okehampton United Charities and Okehampton Town Council, they have invested in new decorations that use modern LED lights.

Anyone who would like to offer their assistance in putting up the lights and Christmas trees should meet outside Donald's Menswear on Fore Street on Sunday at 8am to join the lights team.
