OKEHAMPTON United Charity and its associated charity Okehampton Educational Foundation have revealed that they agreed to grants of more than £254,000 in 2010 for the benefit of the residents of Okehampton and its hamlets.

Beneficiaries of Okehampton United Charity include the New Life Church, whose Refresh Cafe opened on June 4, Church of the Nations, Okehampton Community Archive, OCRA and many more.

Those to receive educational grants include Life Skills, Rainbow Pre-School, Okehampton College and many others. The recently published accounts reveal that the United Charity have grants of £192,003 to local organisations, while the Educational Foundation made further awards of £62,898 to local organisations and £53,275 to individuals.

The charities exist solely for the benefit of the residents of Okehampton and the Okehampton Hamlets.
