IN a close match at Bideford, Whitchurch Ladies were 3 runs short of North Devon's total of 84.
Tight and accurate bowling by Coraley Medland (6-1-7) and Lisa Butler (6-1-18), the opening bowlers for Whitchurch, kept the scoring down and wickets falling.

Armstrong (4-3-21), Angela Hunt (4-1-15), Jenny Kay (5-2-16) and Josie Gerhold (1-1-10), North Devon were all out for 84 off 26 overs.
Whitchurch fielded well and again Gaynor Pollard did an excellent job as wicket keeper.
Openers for Whitchurch, Angela Hunt and Jenny Kay, found it difficult to score runs off fast accurate bowling.
After a 23 partnership the first wicket fell and Whitchurch found the run rate per over needed to win the game formidable.
Gaynor Pollard (12 no) and Coraley Medland (9 not out) gave Whitchurch a chance of winning with 11 needed off the last two overs.
Unfortunately, Whitchurch were three short of North Devon's total.
A good team performance and an exciting finish proved an enjoyable afternoon in the sunshine.
