OKEHAMPTON Past Tablers Club are preparing for their fifth five-legged race on November 16 in aid of Children In Need.
The club has raised £7,000 over the last four years for the appeal and had great fun doing it.
Teams of four, tied together at the ankles and mostly in fancy dress, set off from Simmons Park to race around the town, stopping at eight pubs en route to finish at West Bridge.
At each pub at least one member of the team must purchase and consume a drink (not necessarily alcoholic.)
There are trophies for winners on the night including 1st ladies team, 1st men's team, 1st mixed team, best fancy dress and the team handing over the most sponsorship on the night.
