THREE young brothers from Okehampton have completed a mammoth climbing challenge to raise money for charity close to their hearts.

The Thomson brothers recently strapped on their walking boots to conquer Mount Snowdon — the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level.

11-year-old Jason-Lee was joined by his two younger brothers, Malachi, 9, and Brandon, 8, to complete the epic mountain hike in aid of The Haemophilia Society.

Jason has a condition called severe haemophilia — a rare blood condition that causes him to need a intravenous injection every other day to help his blood to clot.

The boys said that they wanted to take up a challenge of a lifetime to raise some money for a charity that helps people with the same condition as Jason.

So far, the active and charitable trio have raised in excess of £250 for The Haemophilia Society.

The boys mum, Sharon, said that Jason had a huge operation just two weeks ago in Bristol hospital. She said she was incredibly proud of her three sons and their achievement.

The Haemophilia Society is the only UK wide charity for all those affected by bleeding disorders.The charity help people with bleeding disorders to lead fulfilling lives, make informed choices and encourage them to support and inspire others.
