Camborne School of Mines 1

Okehampton 7

AFTER their stuttering performance last week Okehampton travelled to Camborne knowing only a win would do.

It started well for the visitors, when Mark Parsons released Stuart Jarvis down the right; he returned the ball to Parsons, who slotted home. From then on it was one-way traffic as the home side dominated and got their reward with a well-taken goal.

Half-time came with Okehampton under real pressure and the visitors welcomed the break.

Re-grouped and re-focused, Okehampton started the second half brightly and within a minute of the restart Parsons made it 2-1.

With their next attack the visitors killed the game off when Parsons scored his hat-trick.

The away side made their possession count as Parsons found Nick Luxton to score.

John Cross netted a fifth with a well placed shot into the far corner; Luxton got his second after good work from Parsons and an unselfish ball from Simon Bourne.

The two combined again to set up Luxton for his hat-trick and Okehampton also had a couple of chances late in the game, with Josh Speak and Bourne going close.

* This was a much needed win for Okehampton, who play Marjon E away next week.
