THREE choirs will unite for the All Saints Parish Church summer concert on Saturday, August 10.
Members of the All Saints Choir, the North Creedy Choral Society and the Mid Devon Singers will make up the main chorus for the concert. There will also be choral songs and solo offerings.
Alice Johnstone, an up-and-coming soprano from Exeter will sing some solos. Baritone Jason Bomford returns to All Saints by popular demand. Recorder player and baroque instrument maker John Willman will be playing chamber music by Handel, with All Saints musical director Tim Matthews as his accompanist.
Popular choral works, including Gloria by Vivaldi, Ave Verum by Mozart, If Ye Love Me by Thomas Tallis and two classic songs by Carole King will be performed.
The choir is also looking forward to singing an 11th Century plainsong melody by Hildegard von Bingen, the Christian mystic, composer and philosopher whose rediscovered music has inspired millions worldwide.
Admission is free and refreshments are available.
