JOYCE Brockman hosted her 13th annual coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support last Friday.

Joyce holds a coffee morning at Fairplace Church in Okehampton each year in memory of her husband John, who died 14 years ago and was cared for by Macmillan nurses. Since 1999, she has raised more than £10,000 for the charity by taking part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.

People across the UK hold a coffee morning with proceeds going to the cancer charity — in 201, 51,000 people signed up and raised a record £10-million.

As well as coffee, visitors enjoyed cakes and tasty treats, and stalls selling gifts.
