THREE West Devon people who were due to undertake a charity parachute jump last month now have to attempt the event for the third time – after both tries were postponed due to bad weather. Guy Massey, of Ottery, and his son Daniel will attempt the 10,000ft tandem parachute at Dunkeswell Airfield in aid of the Derriford group of Cancer Research, while Tavistock resident Stephanie Reid is doing the jump to raise money for the MIND charity. Guy, who was sponsored to have his hair dyed purple for the big day, said: 'On the original date it was 0 degrees at 10,000ft, on November 19 it will be minus 5 degrees, and I don't even want to think what the wind chill will be. 'I will be so relieved when it is over. 'This whole event is getting scarier by the day.' Anyone who wants to learn more about the jump on November 19 or who would like to offer sponsorship can go to http://www.t-a-c-o.co.uk">www.t-a-c-o.co.uk or call Guy on 01822 611444.
