TAVISTOCK Air Training Corps? commanding officer, flight lieutenant John Olver was honoured for 34 years of outstanding service recently when he received a third clasp for his cadet forces medal.

The latest clasp was in recognition of his work with the 2312 Tavistock Squadron which John has seen through moves from Crelake to Stonepost Barracks, on again to Tavistock College and finally back to Crelake.

John said: ?The activities offered by the corps are second to none ? it is a first class hobby for young people.?

John was presented with his clasp by group captain J Goodbourne, station commander of RAF St Mawgan, at a ceremony in the officer?s mess.
