THERE?S a chance to hear the fantastic voices of the Trelawny Male Voice Choir at an event in Buckland Monachorum next month. The choir, who come from Penzance, will be in concert at the village hall on April 2 ? a special event to raise money for the Children?s Hospice South West. Linda Downing, chairman of the Buckland friends of the hospice group, said: ?They are a fantastic bunch ? they sing music from right across the board, anything from the Beatles, traditional Cornish music like Lamorna, Andrew Lloyd Webber ? there?s something to appeal to everyone. ?I?ve been in that hall with an audience of 90 people and it?s been incredible, they?ve had them in the palm of their hand ? it?s entertainment at its very best.? Tickets for the concert cost £4, £3.50 for concessions and are available from Linda Downing on 01822 853792. The concert begins at 7.30pm and the evening will include refreshments and a raffle.
