LAMERTON Pony Club tetrathlon squad were outstandingly successful last week at the Fourburrow tetrathlon.
In the triathlon phase, Lamerton members won the best school in all three of the classes they entered, with Adam Sandercock winning the under 9s section, Michael Harris the senior boys and Louise Body the senior girls.
Daniel Preece completed the best run in the senior boys, and in the final line up at the end of the first day all six members were in the rosettes, with Adam Sandercock second, and Thomas Preece third in the under 9s, Louise Body first in the senior girls, and the strong Lamerton senior boys' team all placed, with Daniel Preece first, Michael Harris fourth and a rapidly improving newcomer, Ben Reeder fifth.
The riding phase on the second day was equally successful. Thomas Preece did well over a difficult riding course, going clear to win the under 9s, while the Lamerton seniors did exceptionally well, with Daniel having an excellent first senior ride with only one stop to win the senior boys' class.
Michael Harris was the only senior to have no jumping faults on the course and came second.
Louise Body, who has been longlisted to represent the south west in the summer in the inter regional competition in Scotland, had only one stop and continued the winning streak to take the cup home with her.
Altogether it was a most successful weekend, with Lamerton members winning all three classes.
