I WAS wondering how many other road users have encountered runners on their training nights, and how much of a problem they cause on the roads, or is it just me?
Last year I nearly ran someone over as he had no reflective gear on. On Tuesday November 25, driving up Down Road, a female runner literally ran out in front of my car, causing me to do an emergency stop, and steer towards a parked van, to ensure I missed her, which was by inches.
Five minutes later we encountered four or five more male runners running down Green Lane on both sides of the road, another car coming up and I had to stop to manoeuvre past them.
While I am having a moan, another point I would like to raise is, it annoys me to see bicycles being ridden on the pavement when there are pedestrians young and old using it.
It seems both these groups of people are irresponsible and inconsiderate.
