FIREFIGHTERS were called to a property at Bush Park in Brentor last Sunday, after a report of a chimney fire.
One crew from Tavistock attended at 6.25pm and found a chimney fire involving a woodburner.
Firefighters used chimney gear and a thermal imaging camera to try and tackle the fire.
A request was then made by the crew in attendance that a second crew be mobilised from Tavistock.
Firefighters used a triple extension ladder, a roof ladder, safety at height equipment, one hose reel and lifting to extinguish the fire.
A revisit was carried out by one crew at 11pm to ensure the fire was completely extinguished, and crews used thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
