There was a reason they were in the picture

READERS looking at your excellent pictures of some of the gardening club members at Bridestowe School (June 29) may have been rather mystified as to why Mike Shovelton, branch manager of Mole Valley Farmers at Holsworthy, and Chris Lavis, their area sales representative, were also featured along with some members of Bridestowe Garden Club. The reason for their presence was that our bag gardens were largely created thanks to the generosity of Mole Valley Farmers who gave us lots of bags of compost with which we were able to make no less than 15 bag gardens. We are very grateful to them for providing the compost and hope Mike and Chris enjoyed seeing the dramatic results!
