HAVING used the Station Road Launderette for over 30 years with complete confidence, including reassuring incredulous visiting holidaymakers accordingly, I was concerned to read of the alleged theft of washing (Times, January 1).

This turned out to be a simple mistake which was rectified on the following day.

It is so easy to give a business a bad reputation and so difficult to clean off the mud that sticks.
