POLICE in Callington are appealing for information regarding the theft of two very young lambs earlier this month.

The two lambs were stolen from a field, and their mother, near Southill between January 7 and January 10.

The lambs were only around five days old and will now be around three to four weeks old. They have a number six painted on their sides and will require bottle feeding.

The mother ewe is now suffering mastitis and will have to be put down.

Officers said there was no evidence to suggest this was foxes and it was highly suspicious as the lambs were from the same ewe.
