A HOUSE building firm has celebrated its 40th anniversary with great generosity, by making a large donation to the Get Changed Theatre Company in Okehampton.

Redrow Exeter has been raising funds for Get Changed since it 'adopted' the charity in July. One of the fundraising initiatives was a golf day in Wellington. The result of their fundraising efforts has been an impressive £5,195 donation.

Christine Munkenbeck, chairman of Get Changed, said: 'This is a truly enormous sum of money to have raised in such a short space of time.

'We thank Redrow for all their hard work and commitment to helping Get Changed in this way. These funds will truly make a difference to our charity.'

Get Changed Theatre Company, founded in Okehampton in 1995, works with adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems using role play and performing arts techniques to develop life skills and confidence. It promotes social inclusion and empowers people to realise their full potential. Its work is led by participants and designed to inspire, entertain and educate.

Redrow will continue to support Get Changed through various fundraising events for its staff and sub-contractors.

Get Changed is delighted for the support as the funding can be used to cover the charity's core costs and to ensure the continuation of new and exciting arts projects and experiences for the Get Changed participants.
