STREET dancers in Okehampton have been working hard in preparation for their next big show.

Over the past few months, various groups from Okehampton and surrounding area have been rehearsing for a dance showcase at the Octagon Theatre on Tuesday May 1 and Wednesday May 2.

A-level dancers and eight teachers from Okehampton College, and the Elite Dance groups from Okehampton, Highampton, Launceston and Woolsery have all created dances which will be performed at the event.

The Okehampton Elite Dance club runs for an hour every Monday from 4.30pm. All 6 to 13 year olds are welcome. Each session costs £3.50 and the next term of classes starts on April 23.

Tickets for the showcase cost £5 for adults, and £2.50 for children aged 16 and under.
