TAVISTOCK?S creative writing group ?Liaisons with Words? celebrates its first anniversary next Thursday, September 19.

Members meet once a month on Friday mornings at the library in Plymouth Road and the group is starting autumn with a flourish of exciting ventures.

They have finished collecting contributions for Tavistock?s Community Poem which consists of 854 lines from 263 contributors, the youngest at only three years of age.

The poem will be published in Liaisons with Words? anthology which will be out in time for Dickensian Evening in December.

The anthology will consist of members? work from poetry, prose, short stories and novel extracts and is designed to be a worthy celebration of creative talent in Tavistock.

The group?s next meeting will be on Friday October 8 at Tavistock Library.
