IT was standing room only at the Bridge Inn, Hatherleigh, for the 'Third Thursday' music event organised by Josie Lloyd, Hatherleigh's own ragtime/blues guitarist.

The Monkey Gland Blues Band from Okehampton raised a storm, and there were fantastic performances from a  number of invited guests and performers who turned up to take advantage of the open mic spots available.

Josie's idea behind the venture is to encourage and support new bands and musicians while putting on a night's entertainment with established bands and performers.

Up and coming bands and solo performers looking to showcase their talent are welcome at the Bridge Inn on Thursday May 20 at 8.15pm.

The headline band will be 'Indecision',  a bluesy combo from Northlew, and Josie will be giving more of her unique 1900s bawdy blues and ragtime fingerpicking.
