THE prompt action of an unknown person was this week praised by a Tavistock man, who says his faith in human nature has been restored by the gesture. Gerry Harden, who lives in the Courtlands area, was shopping in the town last week when he mislaid a letter he was due to send to his daughter, who lives in Colorado, USA. Gerry said: ?It was an important letter as it happened, but it had no stamp on it. I looked all over the town, everywhere I?d been, but I couldn?t find it. ?Then yesterday my daughter rang me ? the letter had turned up in Colorado, fully stamped ? some kind person had sent it to her. ?I would just like to thank whoever it was who sent it ? it just shows there are some good people out there.?
