ASTON VIlla junior Colin Marshall from Okehampton will be playing in the second leg of the FA Youth Cup Final being shown live on Sky on Saturday.

This is the first time in 23 years that Aston Villa have reached the FA Youth Cup Final — in Tuesday night's first leg against opponents Everton, they beat the home side 4-1.

The result means Villa are now favourites to take the title and there is sure to be a hero's welcome for centre mid field player Colin when he returns to Okehampton.

Colin, 17, signed up for a two-year apprenticeship with the club last year, having spent two years with Southampton Junior Football Club.

While at Aston Villa he will progress to the under 19s team and could gain a place in the premiership reserves team.

Friend of Colin, Dean Garrett said Colin had done really well in his first year and had even been to Germany with the team.

'It a great achievement for the club to get to the final and a brilliant opportunity for Colin in his first year,' he said.

The match will be shown at noon on Sky Sports One.
