A FILM and television archive show in Buckland Monachorum goes ahead tomorrow (Friday), despite confusion over whether the event had been cancelled.
Chairman of the village hall committee Stephen Fryer said: 'We were very puzzled when several people said they had seen our poster with "cancelled" written across it. We were completely mystified.'
But the puzzle was solved when Mr Fryer tracked down a cancellation poster. Clearbrook village hall had organised a similar show which they had to cancel. The posters for both shows were produced by 'Villages in Action' using the same layout and paper — when Clearbrook put 'cancelled' stickers on their poster, the two were easily mixed up.
The film starts at 7.30pm in the village hall.
