WE would like to thank through your newspaper everyone at Buckland Abbey for the really lovely Elizabethan weekend.

I took my children and we had a very relaxing and fun afternoon. The singers in the Great Hall were splendid and we joined in a rousing chorus of 'Bring me some fine ale sir'. The masked fairy tale enacted in the great barn was enchanting, and the dancing, rope making and all the other activities, both in the house and out, made for a super afternoon.

It was topped off when the 'Queen' led everyone around the Great Barn in an Elizabethan version of a conga, great fun! We even got to have an audience with her, which made the day for my two girls.

Staff were, as always, polite and we had a great time.

Thank you, again, and more of these please.
