TAVISTOCK Ladies? Seconds hockey team achieved another victorious win at the weekend.

Mannamead, with first push-back, drove at the goal, but excellent tackling from middle field of Joanne Solman, Kate Eadie, Olivia Eadie and Nicky Hawkins prevented a goal.

Tavistock dominated with continuous pressure by forwards Jill Court, Robynne Honey, Sarah Barrett and Kate Eadie.

A breaking run by Mannamead provided the chance to speed towards goal and slip through the defence and score.

Tavistock came back with exceptional skill to score and put them back in the game.

The heat was on with another goal from Mannamead but Tavistock scored two more and at half-time they led 3-2.

With a substitution of Olivia Eadie for Sarah Court the battle continued and Tavistock came out the stronger. Mannamead pressurised the Tavistock defence of Sarah Guy, Janet Simmons, Nell Trotter and keeper Zoë Viggers, but excellent skill and teamwork saw there were no more goals scored.

With support from midfield Tavistock?s forwards scored again, again, again and again! Both Jill Court and Sarah Barrett scored a hat-trick.
