TAVISTOCK’S Mime Cafe pulled out all the stops for a big fundraising day to boost the Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal last Saturday including the Great Tavistock Bake-Off.

The total raised so far is £1,409.72 which includes a £250 donation from View Property and from selling over 500 portions of cake throughout the week leading up to the fundraising day. A sum of £894.72 was made from raffle ticket sales and other donations and David Starkey brought in £200 from having his legs shaved by Jess at No5 Aesthetic and beauty.
Staff didn’t quite make their target of rowing a marathon because they were so busy working, however, they did manage just over 33,000 metres rowed.
‘We had a very successful day and were blown away by people’s generosity and support,’ said Mime owner Melanie Bosacki.
