THIS result was a big confidence booster for Tavistock and North Tawton Ladies' rugby side at the North Tawton ground.
With many of their players out of position, TNT made all of the game in the first half, with some great tackling from new second row Vicky Mardon.
The first try came from Emily Johns, who was playing in the backs, away from her normal flanker role. Forcing her way through a number of Bideford players she touched down over the line then went on to set up the next try, for winger Clare Kelly.
Keeping up the pressure with some fine rucking and mauling, TNT went into the break 10-0 up.
In the second half a hat-trick of tries by full back Zoe Colton followed, the first right under the posts which was converted by Terri Easton. Johns also scored her second, again converted by Easton.
TNT's spirits were high and there was good play from new signing Alex Murray and Wiz Francis, who were both impressive around the park, keeping Bideford at bay with some strong tackling.
New sponsors Sid Lew and Phil Harmer presented TNT with their new strip before the game, and stayed on to watch their side make the impressive win.
TNT is hoping to develop still further and is keen to start a Colts side. Training this week for all the ladies is at Tavistock on Tuesday at 7pm.
The next game is against Plymouth Albion Ladies, at Brickfields next Sunday at 2:30pm.
