A TALK and slideshow 'The Art of the Playful Forager' will be given in Tavistock on Wednesday, June 11. The speaker, Chris Holland, is a leading inspiration in the field of nature connection and creative outdoor learning. He has a natural talent for telling stories and sharing his expert skills in bush craft, foraging, creating environmental art and photography and promises that the evening will be interactive and a lot of fun. The talk will start at 8pm in the Parish Church Centre, Plymouth Road and entrance is by a £3 donation to Devon Wildlife Trust. Chris will also be leading an hour's walk around Tavistock Meadows from 6pm on the same evening, starting from outside the Parish Church Centre. Booking is essential for the walk by ringing Fran McMurray on 01822 613628. Tea and cakes will be available in the Parish Church Centre after the walk. A £3 donation for Devon Wildlife Trust is suggested for the walk and refreshments. The Tavistock Local Group of Devon Wildlife Trust runs monthly talks and visits with a wildlife theme which are open to anyone, not just members of DWT. Anyone who would like to know more about the group, can ring Sue Boxall on 01822 820292.
