OKEHAMPTON A Smallbore Club's team got the results they wanted in the final round of the North Devon League — they beat Pinhoe B by just one point and their position in the league table was assured.
Bideford A, their contenders for the runners-up spot, lost their match against Pinhoe A, which meant Okehampton took second place in Division 1 on match points.
They are counting themselves lucky to do so, however, because their aggregate gun score was much lower than Bideford's.
The B team, who also won their final match, won division 3 by two clear match points and 87 aggregate points from Bideford B.
