FROM all the animals at the Margaret Green Animal Rescue to all the kind people who have been putting coins and notes in my collection box in Tavistock Pannier Market! Thank you.

Margaret Green Animal Rescue was founded in 1965. 2015 was our 50th anniversary; during the past 50 years many cats, dogs, horses and other animals have found homes.

In this year alone Margaret Green Animal Rescue has cared for hundreds of animals both here in Devon (Wingletang) and in Dorset. It is the kind generosity of ordinary people who through donations, buying raffle tickets and taking part in our fundraising events help towards the cost of care of the animals waiting to be adopted.

2015 was also the year that I received an award for all the years I have been a volunteer. So on behalf of all the animals, many thanks for your donations, not only the kind people of Tavistock, but all the visitors passing through who have put coins and notes in my collection box, bought books during my book sale and cards.

I can now reveal the grand total of money received is £315.21. Made up of the following: collection box £138.21, book sales £150 and the sale of cards £21.

All the cats and dogs had a very happy Christmas, thanks to all the lovely people who gave Christmas boxes. They all enjoyed all the new toys and treats, thank you.

From January to March, I will again have my annual book sale, every Friday in Tavistock Pannier Market, to raise much needed funds. So please come alone and buy a few books. Knowing that the money we receive goes to the care of the animals and nothing else. So once again a big thank you to all of you who care about rescued animals.

Happy New Year!
