I HAVE never been a ‘Tesco shopper’ but have had a habit-changing experience at the new Tesco store in Tavistock last?Sunday.

As the chairwoman of a local scout group committee we were given the opportunity to sell raffle tickets for our annual prize draw in the store’s foyer.

The customers were friendly and very generous, and the staff were amazing. In three hours we covered all our costs for the raffle and sold a good 15% of all our tickets.
