ON Saturday, August 16 Tavistock Friends Group of Children's Hospice South West held a collection day at Morrisons, Tavistock, which resulted in the magnificent sum of £492 being collected. The Friends Group would like to thank Morrisons for allowing it to collect at the store and the people of Tavistock who gave so generously. Little Harbour, the CHSW hospice in St Austell, will use the money to provide quality respite time for children with life limiting conditions and their families. Each month Little Harbour opens its doors to give its supporters an insight into life at the hospice. These open days are help when there are no families staying at the hospice so you won't hear the usual noise and laughter that bounces off the walls of the house but you will leave with a better understanding of the fantastic work that is carried out throughout the premises. You can visit, by appointment only, on Monday, September 1, Monday, October 6, Monday, November 3 and Monday, December 1.
