I WOULD like to say 'thank you' to all of the people who performed in the 'Love and Music' concert in aid of the MacMillan Nurses in Bere Alston Parish Hall on Saturday, April 25.

Thank you to all who helped both front of house and backstage. A big thank you to all the sponsors — without their donations the concert would not have happened.

Also thank you to all the local businesses who kindly donated raffle prizes for the concert. We made a staggering £517.62 for the cause.

Well done everyone and once more a big thank you for your support.

ON behalf of the British Red Cross I would like to thank the people of Tavistock and surrounding area who gave so kindly to collectors during our recent national flag week.

The total sum collected was £2,328.70, money which will be spend on our services in Devon and Cornwall.
