I WOULD like to thank everyone who came along to the Okehampton Community Hospital on December 19 to view the facilities in the new hospital.

It was a real pleasure for the staff to show so many people around. I do hope that our visitors found their visit as worthwhile and enjoyable as we did.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Friends of the Hospital for providing tea, mince-pies and cream and for their continued support.

Thanks also to the carol singers who contributed to make a Christmassy feel to the afternoon.

Finally, also to thank your newspaper for the informative article publicising the afternoon. We are hoping to repeat this event later in the summer.
