ONCE again our local committee for Cancer Research UK would like to thank all those who have supported us, but we don?t know who they are!
If you have bought a Pink Ribbon in October ?Breast Cancer Awareness Month?, when over £560 was raised locally, or attended our coffee morning earlier this month, raising over £350; if you have bought Cancer Research UK cards from ?Cards for Good Causes? or are entering our Christmas quiz on Wednesday at 7.30pm at the Abbey Surgery, or if you drop coins into the collecting tins when Tubes are playing Christmas music in Tavistock on Saturdays in December ? then you will all have contributed towards furthering research into new treatments and developing anti-cancer drug design, with clinical trials in Exeter, Torbay, Derriford and North Devon Hospitals.
We want to thank you all.

MAY I through your paper thank all the many Poppy Appeal collectors and shops who supported the Royal British Legion in the Yelverton area.
Their hard work and dedication collected an amazing £5,343. This is over £800 more than last year! A really wonderful effort, thank you all very much.
