ON behalf of the Inner Wheel and Rotary Clubs of Tavistock, I would like to thank all those who supported the cream tea we organised together on Friday, September 23, which raised £315 for the Children?s Hospice South West. We are very grateful to everyone who attended and to those who provided us with cream, jam etc, and contributed to a most enjoyable and worthwhile occasion. Ann Wrightam President Inner Wheel Club THE street collection in aid of the Children?s Hospice South West at Yelverton on September 23 and 24 totalled £482.72. Grateful thanks to all who contributed so generously and to the 25 ladies who held the collecting boxes. Linda Downing Chairman Buckland Monachorum Area Group of Friends I WOULD like to give a huge vote of thanks to everyone who got together for a cup of coffee and helped raise £124.70 on Friday September 30 as part of Macmillan Cancer Relief?s World?s Biggest Coffee Morning. The weather was wet and miserable but everyone who came really enjoyed themselves, and it?s amazing that simply enjoying a cup of coffee with friends and neighbours can raise so much money for such a good cause. Special thanks to the United Church who supplied the venue free of charge, to Hilary for supplying the coffee, Megan the milk, Jeanette the tea and all my neighbours for the endless supply of biscuits, so that all the money raised on the day went directly to Macmillan Cancer Relief.
