ON behalf of the Lamerton Handbell Ringers we would like to express our grateful thanks to all those individuals and organisations for the kind hospitality and donations we received at our annual Handbell Festival and functions we performed leading up to Christmas.

Each year money that is collected is donated to a chosen charity and this years a total of £248 has been sent to the Cystic Fibrosis Charity.

EVERY year on each of the four Saturday mornings prior to Christmas, whatever the weather, the members of Tavistock Versatile Brass Ensemble (TUBES) play Christmas (and other) music to entertain shoppers in Duke Street, Tavistock.

This year we were delighted to collect a total £1,516.62 for St Luke's Hospice Plymouth.

TUBES would like to thank their indefatigable and loyal band of supporters who do the collecting and the people of Tavistock for their generosity to this most worthy cause.

We wish everyone a happy, healthy, peaceful and musical New Year 2014.
