YEAR 3 children from Okehampton Primary School enjoyed a visit to Escot Park at Ottery St Mary last week – and Gracie Havard and Blake Shilston of Hawkes Tor class have written a report for the Times on their trip. 'On Monday we went on an amazing trip to Escot Park, and what's more we had to go in a difficult, confusing maze made out of green, long leaves. 'In the terrifying maze Seth, Gracie and Kai got lost but they eventually found their way out. Afterwards we merrily skipped along to the spooky, dull woods. 'There were colossal large trees which were hollow and lanky. We also watched a birds of prey display, and the otters feeding. We toasted marshmallows and lastly all went for a paddle in the pond.'
