PREPARATIONS are well in hand to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the opening of the Tamar Valley Methodist Church at Albaston.

The celebrations will be held on the weekend of November 19 and 20. On the Saturday, there will be a concert by the Liskerret Male Voice Choir, with compere Adrian Wilton. The guest organist is Ken Pethick, of Callington.

Anyone requiring tickets for the concert can contact church member Jeff Hearn on 01822 832109, who is also a member of the choir.

On the Sunday, the special preacher will be the Rev Celia Phillips, vice-chairman of the district, who was a former minister in the Callington and Gunnislake circuit a few years ago, and is now at Ponsanooth. This will be followed by a lunch.
