TETRATHLON is one of the many Pony Club competitions which during July and August reaches its climax with competitions far and wide. 

The Team South West boys' team of Adam Sandercock (also a UK Team tetrathlete) from Lamerton, Chris Pyle from Exbourne, Karl Holingsworth and Peter Richards, both from Bovey Tracey, represented the whole of Devon, Cornwall and part of Somerset, at the UK regionals held this year near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

With shooting and swimming on the first day, followed by cross country riding course on the second and a climax of a 3000m run on the final morning the team ending in a creditable fifth position with the host team from the East of England celebrating as the 2011 winners.

Individually  Adam came seventh and Peter 10th.   Adam has now gone onto Ireland to be part of the UK Team against USA, Canada, Australia and Republic of Ireland before returning to join his regional team mates at Hartpury, Gloucestershire, for the UK Pony Club National Tetrathlon championships.

The South West girls team also enjoyed their weekend and finished in ninth place.
